Breckenridge is also a popular ski resort during the winter months, servicing multi-difficulty ski slopes on the Rocky Mountains. In the summer, the town turns into an outdoor lover's paradise with great hiking trails, beautiful wildflowers to see, fly-fishing in the Blue River, and nearby Lake Dillon for boating.     Town of Breckenridge non-profit grant applications for 2010 funding now available

    The Town of Breckenridge, along with the Summit Foundation, Summit County Government and the towns of Dillon, Frisco and Silverthorne are accepting applications from nonprofit organizations for funding for 2010. The application submission deadline is 12:00pm (noon) on Friday, September 25, 2009.

    Any organization planning to submit an application may download the current funding application and guidelines by clicking one of the downloads listed below on this page, or by visiting the Riverwalk Box Office, 150 West Adams, Breckenridge during posted hours to pick up a hard copy.

    Applications are accepted from Summit County nonprofit organizations, which are tax exempt under the provisions of Section (501)(c)(3) and 170 (b)(1)(A)(i.V.I.) of the Internal Revenue Code.     Special Event Liquor Permit Training

    This Special Event Liquor License training is designed for non-profits and local government agencies that apply for Special Event Liquor Licenses.  The training is being taught by Dan Gunter of the Colorado Division of Liquor Enforcement.  Mr. Gunter will cover all facets of special event liquor licensing and of donated liquor, followed by time for questions.  This is a great opportunity for those new to this type of licensing and "old hands" that just need a refresher.  Click here for a downloadable flyer about the training.
